[Life] Visit and feel the first IKEA store in South Korea

Gigantic Furniture Brand – IKEA opens the biggest store in far east Asia.

(* It is a post written by non-english-speaking blogger. Thanks for visiting.)

In December 18th 2014, there was first IKEA shop opening in Gwang-myeong, Korea. As all you know it was sensation, because first low-cost but mega-brand in Korea furniture market. And also well known as the biggest IKEA store in far east Asia.

According to mass-media, it was so crowed, people had to wait to enter the store more than two hours at opening day. Sales of other shops are decreasing dramatically by sucking customer, some of them should set down their store.

Now it is less crowded but still attracted, I just visit it and feel their atmosphere how it looks like.

Not far from my home, Gwang-myeong is closed to Seoul, takes just an hour...

There are three floors for parking lot. Ther first floor is for shopping, the second floor is show-room for furniture.

Out side of the building, it is so huge!

Enjoy your time, Open space bring good views. When you go up the second floor, then....LOTS OF THINGS WELL DISPLAYED :)

It was interesting. IKEA's main color is yellow. Customer can barrow bags for their belongs.

Even sitll now I cannot imagine how large it is. From 1 to 27 sections, we should spend over two hours. LOL.

Sofa's cover section. All Fabrics, colorful.

They are saying 'Barrow catalogues' But we all know it is not ;)

It is a Kitchen show-room. 5 mil KRW is around 5K USD. Is it expensive? or cool?

Also special display for small room. IKEA tried to show local life sytle (localization? Strategy for Korea?)

Again, bedroom display....

An arm chair.(펠로 암체어) I was surprised. It was the cheapest one I ever met in Korea.

49,990 KRW MOSJO table? (모세 장식장) same as 49.990 bucks !

It's so cute, isn't it?

Here is a sensational spot. The restaurant. IKEA provide fresh and tasty food with reasonable price, with...

Free refill coffee! WOW, but....

Already closed......LOL, it was 9 p.m.

Small play ground for children.

And my accessories....

I bet you it is the cheapest cotton blanket. only 9 bucks.

It looks expensive but made by wool. :)

Retail section on the first floor. Very similar to COSTCO or other mega-stores....

I am planing to move home soon, will visit here again with wish list. Hopefully I can have good budget approved by my wife;)
